Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Manager
Berit Dockter MPP, RD, LD is a licensed and registered dietitian and serves as the Scientific and Regulatory Affairs manager of INCA. She works with INCA member companies on legislative, regulatory, and other nutrition policy priorities. She is actively involved in communicating with stakeholder groups, members of Congress, and U.S. government agencies around infant formula issues.
Her past work experience includes working in the food industry, state government, and clinical nutrition with experience in pediatric and infant nutrition. Mrs. Dockter has served in various leadership positions within the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) at the state and national level; these include the AND Political Action Committee (ANDPAC) Board, Delegate from Maryland to the Academy’s House of Delegates, Chair of a House of Delegates Public Policy Task Force, and Public Policy Coordinator in the Maryland state affiliate. She has received awards and recognition for her successful efforts on Capitol Hill advocating for nutrition-related bills.
She received holds a bachelor’s degree in food/nutrition and dietetics, and exercise science from Concordia College, Moorhead, MN; and master’s degree of Public Policy in health policy from the University of Maryland Baltimore County in Baltimore, MD.
